Description of Completion of Degree

This bar graph shows rates of degree completion reported by award holders of Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Scholarships and Fellowships.

The X axis shows the numbers of survey respondents from three categories: N equals 242 for master’s candidates, N equals 386 for doctoral candidates, and N equals 146 for postdoctoral candidates.

The Y axis shows percentages representing completion. The scale begins at 0 per cent and goes to 100 per cent, in increments of 20 per cent.

For master’s candidates, 97 per cent said yes they had completed their degree and two per cent said no.

For doctoral candidates, 93 per cent said yes they had completed their degree and six per cent said no.

For postdoctoral candidates, 81 per cent said yes they had completed their degree and 15 per cent said no.
