2025 SSHRC Leaders Meeting

Session summary

The 2025 SSHRC Leaders fall meeting brought together 64 Leaders and delegates for an engaging in-person meeting at the Canadian War Museum on November 25, 2025. The Leaders network, composed of 82 representatives from institutions eligible to administer SSHRC funds, serves as a key communication channel between Canadian postsecondary institutions and SSHRC. The annual in-person meeting is an opportunity to provide SSHRC Leaders with key updates, gather feedback on emerging issues and foster connections within the network.

The meeting included policy and program updates from senior management, a presentation on the Tri-agency CV, roundtable sessions to engage SSHRC Leaders on specific topics, and a panel discussion with members of SSHRC’s governing council.

We thank all SSHRC Leaders, delegates, speakers and SSHRC staff for their engagement and valuable contributions during the meeting.

The next SSHRC Leaders meeting will be held virtually on May 27, 2026. The date for the 2026 SSHRC Leaders fall meeting is forthcoming.
