This page lists institutions currently eligible to administer funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. All institutions seeking institutional eligibility must complete and return an institutional contact form and research administrator form:

Full eligibility

Full institutional eligibility allows postsecondary institutions to administer funds awarded from all SSHRC funding opportunities.

Note: SSHRC only considers postsecondary institutions (universities and colleges) for full institutional eligibility.

Institutional eligibility for Indigenous not-for-profit organizations

Institutional eligibility for Indigenous not-for-profit organizations provides the authority to administer funds awarded for more than one Partnership Development Grant, Partnership Grant and/or Connection Grant at the same time over a five-year period.

Provisional eligibility

Provisional institutional eligibility provides the authority to administer funds awarded for a specific grant under the Partnership Grant and Partnership Development Grant funding opportunities.

Note: SSHRC considers only not-for-profit organizations for provisional institutional eligibility.

Restricted eligibility

Restricted institutional eligibility provides the authority to administer funds awarded for a specific grant under the Aid to Scholarly Journals or Connection Grant funding opportunities.

Note: SSHRC considers only not-for-profit organizations and scholarly journals for restricted institutional eligibility.
