From March 1 to June 1, 2017, the Walrus Foundation and the Order of Canada presented an extraordinary tour focused on the future of Canada. The Walrus Talks Conversations about Canada: We Desire a Better Country marked the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation and the 50th anniversary of the Order of Canada. The tour travelled from coast to coast to coast, visiting every province and territory. Each event featured four members of the Order of Canada and four emerging researchers.
SSHRC was a partner of this Canada 150 signature initiative, and 11 SSHRC-supported scholars were among those speaking on the tour. Each of their seven-minute presentations is now available to watch online. Check out their talks below. Or, interested in viewing all of the Walrus Talks from this tour?
