Evidence briefs on Gender-Based Violence now online

SSHRC, in collaboration with Women and Gender Equality Canada, has posted the resulting research briefs from the Knowledge Synthesis Grants competition to examine and synthesize existing knowledge on gender-based violence. The briefs highlight synthesized research findings, and their relevance to key policy areas around gender-based violence. The briefs help grant holders not only mobilize knowledge across academia, but also engage with non-academic partners and effectively share information about their projects with policy-makers and the wider public.

Announcing the new Tri-agency Research Training Strategy

The three federal research funding agencies have released their Tri-agency Research Training Strategy. The strategy aims to ensure the suite of scholarships and fellowships the agencies deliver is equitable, inclusive, accessible and effective. The agencies will explore actions related to five themes in research training, which were identified based on guidance from the Canada Research Coordinating Committee, and data gathered during the strategy’s development and community consultation.
