Social sciences and humanities Research in action

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) supports research and knowledge mobilization activities that enhance our understanding of social, cultural, technological, environmental, economic, political and wellness issues.

Discover how research and training in the social sciences and humanities are benefiting Canadian society.

Knowledge mobilization

Knowledge mobilization involves the flow and uptake of research knowledge between researchers, knowledge brokers and knowledge users—both within and beyond academia—in ways that can benefit users and create positive impacts in Canada and internationally. It makes sure everyone benefits from publicly funded research. See SSHRC’s Guidelines for effective knowledge mobilization for how to incorporate knowledge mobilization in your research.
